Wend & Wild Projects
Tended Spaces – Sow.Grow.Thrive
Tended Spaces is the name we give to Wend & Wild’s growing projects around the village. Small, thoughtful transformations of public spaces using plants grown from seed. Each space is created with care and intention, offering beauty, sanctuary, and connection.
Every project under the Tended Spaces name is a reflection of Wend & Wild’s purpose: to sow hope, grow community, and help people and places thrive.
From quiet memorial gardens to colourful verges and community corners, each space is planted not only to flourish, but to offer something meaningful to those who pass by, and those who help it grow.
Project One
The Garden of Remembrance
A gentle, community-rooted initiative to care for Whittington’s Garden of Remembrance with quiet respect for its history.
Wend (verb): To travel slowly, gently, in a purposeful direction – often with no rush, simply following the path as it unfolds.
Project Two
Whittington Remembers
A project weaving together past and present, story and place, rooted in Whittington’s Garden of Remembrance at the heart of the village
